The Objective

Jonathan Green focuses on providing top-of-the-line lawncare products that are catered specifically to the varying needs of different kinds of lawns. As a top seller, they needed a website that outshined its competitors’.

 

Their redesign needed to elevate both the desktop and mobile experience to streamline their purchase process. Other advanced features needed to be integrated, like the ability to highlight their brick-and-mortar locations through a store locator.

 

It was also essential to improve their website performance and speed to ensure that no potential customers are lost due to technical issues.

Jonathan Green sells premium products, and they needed a premium website to match. To do this, we developed a cleaner, more elevated visual design. Their previous website had been a little outdated, so it was essential to create an aesthetic that was more modern. It was also imperative that the new aesthetic stood out from their competitors’ websites.

Jonathan Green is one of the top sellers of high-quality lawn care products. To keep up with their growth, their website needed an overhaul in both aesthetics and functionality. This involved setting up more advanced e-commerce features, creating a cleaner, more modern look, and updating the website for better performance on both desktop and mobile.

 

We did this by simplifying the purchase process and improving the website search experience. We also upgraded their website performance and speed and created a seamless adaptation to mobile devices for easy shopping on the go.

 

Additionally, we improved their ability to highlight their brick-and-mortar locations through a store locator to make it simple to find products offline.

Homepage

When you first open Jonathan Green’s home page, you can sense its warm and welcoming vibe right away. A stunning lifestyle photo of a couple enjoying their beautiful lawn greets you, offering a CTA to start browsing immediately. It also features scrolling slides that provide details about their family-owned business.

 

After, testimonials from happy customers are displayed, as well as before and after photos of lawns that were treated with their products. This is followed by a section of featured products and another stand-out CTA to browse the rest of what they have to offer.

 

Toward the bottom of the page, there’s a section for featured articles, the opportunity to enter a picture of the customer’s lawn into their annual lawn contest, and dropdown menus that explain what sets Jonathan Green apart from their competitors. Finally, there’s a new store locator and an area to sign up for their emails.

Quizzes

A unique aspect that was introduced in the redesign was the Lawn Care Quiz. It involved creating a completely custom plugin for Wordpress, as well as a lot of effort and logic. The end result was a tool that ultimately acted as a virtual salesman that could recommend products based on the customers’ needs.

The product pages in the redesign were updated to not only showcase the products better, but to help understand how they work. Essential information is provided, like what grass types the product works for, when to apply it, and what other products that it can be mixed with.

 

An informational spreader setting feature has also been added, which allows the customer to understand how much of the product they should apply based on product, company type, spreader type, and model.

 

Whether the customer is an expert in lawn care or a novice, these product pages make it easy to choose what is needed to get the lawn the customer wants.
